1. The Structural Claim
The Secret is the inverted-treasure counterfeit in its secular, market form — the prosperity gospel with the theology removed and the mechanism kept. It carries a genuine signal, that the orientation of attention reorganizes what a being catches and therefore what its life becomes, and it aims that signal at the H₄₈ vending machine: the parking space, the necklace, the check in the mail. It keeps “where your treasure is, there your heart will be also” and reads it as a procurement technique.
2. The Genuine Signal
Attention is causal, and the framework says so. Orientation is the whole of the catching act: the dual pairing ⟨φ, f⟩ requires the being to turn toward the content it would receive, and what one attends to does reorganize the eigenvalue population over time (Paper 5). Gratitude, vivid attention, the refusal to dwell in the noise floor’s anxieties — these are real catching practices, and people who adopt them often do find their lives reorganizing, which is why the book is not simply false. There is even a true intuition of correspondence behind the slogans — that inner orientation and outer condition are not sealed off from one another, a folk version of the Holographic Content Principle (Paper 10½). The reports of lives changed are not all fraudulent. Something is being touched.
3. The Decisive Inversion
The mechanism is real; its target is inverted. The Secret points the catching orientation at H₄₈ accumulation and promises that “the universe” will deliver the object desired — the same relocation of the treasury the Postscript forbids, now without even the restraint of a God who might say no. Orientation does shape what is caught; but Φ-ward catching accumulates the higher being body (the treasury at H₁ that survives Time), while orientation aimed at the noise floor accumulates noise-floor content, which Time dissolves. The book teaches a true principle pointed at the one destination where its yield cannot last. There is a second, sharper inversion folded in: if attention attracts circumstance, then misfortune was attracted by its sufferer. The “law” thereby manufactures the same contempt every inverted counterfeit produces — the cancer patient, the bankrupt, the bereaved, all quietly indicted for insufficient positivity. A mechanism that blames the afflicted for their affliction has inverted agape as surely as it has inverted treasure.
4. The Fruit
By its fruit (Face D1): The Secret orients the catching being toward the noise floor with the language of spiritual law, and toward contempt for the unlucky with the language of empowerment — down the cascade, twice. The genuine practices it smuggles — gratitude, attention, the refusal of anxious rumination — are worth keeping and the framework keeps them. What must be refused is the target: catching aimed at the manifested object is catching spent on what moth and rust destroy.

The orientation mechanism maps cleanly onto Paper 5; the inversion — the mechanism aimed at H₄₈ treasure — is the book’s explicit teaching, so the ⊘ rests on its own claims.
